Prior to 1892, Catholic families had to travel to St. Valbert (now St. Denis in Versailles) and Holy Family in Frenchtown for mass. Originally, due to the lack of Catholics in North Star, Osgood, and Yorkshire, St. Louis Catholic Church was built in Delvin, OH. St. Nicholas Church in Osgood, OH was built in 1904 and by 1912, was growing greatly. It was voted to move St. Louis to North Star and construction started in 1914. The church was renovated in 2001, adding a lobby and updating the inside of the church.
